*~Introduction~*

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany Thompson! My husband and I have been married for 6 years! We have two children: an eight year old daughter and a three (almost four) year old son. My all time favorite thing to do is spend time with my family! I am very family oriented so much that I do not like to travel far from home for fear of missing a social gathering or event. Yea.. it's that bad! I also like to cook, shop take photos, and read. Since I am enrolled full time in college, my current reads are the textbooks associated with each course! Thanks okay though because I am actually enjoying reading on tip and strategies on becoming an effective educator. Other than being a full time wife, mommy and college student, I am also employed full time at an optometrist office. I do not enjoy the medical field, so I very much look forward to graduating and getting into a classroom! Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a teacher. While most kids played video games or sports, I would convert my bedroom into a classroom. I'm not sure my friends enjoyed this as much as I did, but when they would spend the weekend, we would have full blown class. I would give assignments such as journal entries, sections to read out of our books from school and tests. I would grade all this and give them back to them mimicking my teachers by putting smiley faces or comments such as "Write neater!" As far as using technology, I consider myself as knowing the basics. I can use the internet, Microsoft word and power point and the accessories. I also enjoy uploading photos and organizing them in folders. I look forward to learning more about using technology, especially maintaining this blog because I wouldn't mind creating a blog for parents to view information as to what's going on in my classroom.
